The magazine Hair and Beauty organizes a cover page competition in late summer every year. The competition is open to hairdressers, make-up artists, photographers and fashion designers. The competitors turn in photos that are judged by a panel of three professionals in the field. All the photos that are submitted are published in the magazine, along with the competitors name. The winning picture is, as the name implies, published on the cover of the magazine.

Kristín Stefánsdóttir won the competition in 1995, for the second time. The photographer is Kristján Maack and Kristín used No Name cosmetics to make up her model.
